Frequently Asked Questions
Agreement, Scheduling, And Serving the Community
Expectation & Agreement
-
What Can I Expect?
Everyone experiences energy clearing and acupuncture differently, so please come with an open mind. Come hydrated, fed and ready to be in the experience (more than evaluate it mentally). Know that trauma work can (and should) be way more gentle than you might have seen on TV.
-
What is the fee?
Depends on the treatment, click "Book An Appointment" tab to view.
-
How does it work?
Energy clearing and acupuncture improve flow in the qi that moves through and around our bodies. We are energetic beings in physical bodies, and as such, traumatic imprints can be cleared and removed. When our energy is clear we are more able to connect to a zone of peace and healing.
-
What if I don't believe in acupuncture or energy work?
It makes no difference to me what your beliefs are. You qualify if you have a bothersome symptom(s) and a desire to feel better. Don't think you will be the first person to come in "because at this point I will try anything."
-
What if I come early for an appointment?
Please text message if you arrive more than 5 minutes early for your appointment I may be finishing up with someone else and I also have to clean the room. Masks are required. Thank you in advance for your understanding.
-
How can I prepare for the appointment?
How can I prepare for the appointment? You can wear clothes that are loose fitting around the ankles and knees. Shorts are especially good. Do not plan big events the day of your appointment because you will want to stay in a relaxed state afterwards. -
Will I receive a diagnosis?
No. I do not provide Primary Care here. You agree to continue with your Primary Care Provider to diagnose, monitor, and treat any disease underlying your physical pain. My specialty is emotional trauma recovery and physical pain relief from an Energetic Wellness/Eastern Perspective. To restate, this is a specialty practice utilizing acupuncture, psychotherapy and occasional judicious use of medications. I will help connect you to your innate healing, remove blocks and promote relief of symptoms but do not use these sessions as a replacement for medical care. Continue to use your good judgment and common sense and I will be of great help to you.
Payment & Scheduling
-
How do I schedule?
You may schedule online or schedule with me in person at the end of your sessions. My assistant or I can also schedule over the phone but it is not the quickest way to schedule.
-
What if I want an appointment time not listed or I want to make a last-minute appointment?
I can occasionally make accommodations for different appointment times or schedule last minute. I understand neckaches, backaches, injuries and the like don't give you advance warning. If you're interested in this make sure you leave your availability.
-
Which payment methods are available?
I prefer to keep my practice as simple as possible and encourage people to pay cash or PayPal but I accept credit card. I do accept checks for those paying from their HSA.
-
What if I have to cancel my appointment?
Please give as much notice as possible if you plan to cancel your appointment. If you do not use your time slot it may take some time to be scheduled again. I have been successful being flexible and generally I have found people respect my time and I respect theirs. I will ask for payment up front if no-shows become a pattern for you.
Serving The Community
-
What are options for people without resources?
I periodically provide NADA groups to support people in withdrawal. NADA is a simple but powerful protocol of five points in the ear designed to support a person in detox or needing balance, NADA groups are a low-cost way to experience acupuncture and come together with stillness and presence to create a zone of peace. They are very powerful!

What if I do not have the financial resources to come in?
I understand that this happens. Sometimes I have scholarship appointments that others have paid for and periodically I do provide low cost sessions for those willing to pay it forward. Please be prepared to explain how the treatment will benefit you and how you intend to benefit others.
